Svein Tuft
Being a professional cyclist is very demanding and for me, quality food is the key to success. With Silver Hills Squirrelly bread, I know I’m getting a healthy meal with the nutrients I need to compete at the top level.
— Svein Tuft, Canadian Olympic Cyclist
Svein's Story
Nothing about the way Svein (pronounced Swayne) got his start was conventional. It was a 4,000-mile, soul-searching bike trek up to Alaska with his 80 lb. dog “Bear” and only a sack of potatoes and a few loaves of Squirrelly bread, that first inspired him to get into racing at the age of 23. Now, as a member of the Canadian Men’s Cycling Team, Svein has been National Champion a few times over and finished 7th at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Eating two loaves of Squirrelly bread a day when training, Svein is counting on its nutritional goodness to help fuel his bid for the 2012 Olympics.
