Jerry and Mari-Ellen Metzger’s story of transition is likely one that is shared by many. As a couple in their early sixties, Mari-Ellen works as a care-aide, while Jerry is a semi-retired Fire Protection Technician. Over the past few years, they’ve been transitioning into a new season of life that includes a lighter workload and more time spent with their four young grandchildren. But as Jerry and Mari-Ellen discovered, keeping up with youngsters requires a lot of energy…much more than when they were raising kids. And with Jerry’s food sensitivities and difficulty finding bread that didn’t make him feel sluggish, they both believed that they could be enjoying a higher quality of life. Fortunately, they were right.
Mari-Ellen Metzger first discovered Silver Hills bread back in June 2011 when she visited the Silver Hills Outlet Store. Upon learning about the recipe and benefits of the Chia Chia bread from Silver Hills’ Business Development Manager, Ron Donatelli, she promptly purchased an entire box to take home for her and her husband to enjoy. Since then, Silver Hills is the only bread they’ll eat. Recently, they’ve both been enjoying the brand new gluten-free Mack’s Flax bread and rave about the taste and how great it makes them feel. In fact, the entire Metzger clan now enjoys Silver Hills breads.
